Re-use of urban-space for walkable food-production (urban space for resilience): climate-crisis will probably produce global food-shortages in the next 1-2 decades. We got to get prepared today  



The proposal is not to say, all our food could be produced within city-boundaries. But as a complementary strategy, it helps and is good for:

  • food production
  • social organisation (commons, cooperation, ...)
  • walkable cities
  • re-connection of people to food
  • consciousness of the importance and high value of food (-production)
  • healthy food
  • different, functional perception of urban space (against the landscaping modernist approach of functionless superficiality)
  • ...
